Submission Guidelines
Althaus Magazine is accepting submissions in the following areas. Please refer to the guidelines to ensure that your submission is given full consideration.
Music submissions:
- Please send all submissions with the subject “Music submission.” E-mails that do not adhere to our subject line standard may be deleted unreviewed.
- Please include a link to a website, EPK or other online materials for review. Please do not attach images or bios as they will not be reviewed. If we would like more information from you, we will contact you.
- Please do not send links to Zip, RAR or any other compressed files. We are unable to discern malicious content from genuine materials for review.
- Please provide a link to a website that contains a sample of your music. This will help us to quickly decide if you are a good fit with Gothic Angst Webzine.
- Please send all submissions to the e-mail address listed at the bottom of this page.
Article submissions:
- Please send all submissions with the subject “Article submission.” E-mails that do not adhere to our subject line standard may be deleted unreviewed.
- All articles must be 3500 words or less
- Please provide any images that you would like included with your article.
- Providing images to accompany your article does not guarantee that they will be included in final publication
- If you are submitting a concert review, ensure that you have permission from the artist to publish any photos that you provide. Gothic Angst may contact the artist to verify publication rights.
- Simultaneous submission is acceptable, but if your article is published elsewhere first, please contact us immediately. We will send our congratulations.
- If you are in the San Diego, CA area and need photographic work done for an article you would like to submit, please contact us with an inquiry and a brief description of your proposed article. If it is something we would like to publish, we may provide a photographer.

Literary and Visual Art submissions:
Althaus Magazine is publishing neither literature nor visual arts except in very specific situations. Althaus Magazine has a sister publication called
New Dark Magazine dedicated solely to this purpose. This allows Althaus to focus on writing and publishing news and information related to subculture and alternative culture. It also gives the artists a vehicle specifically geared for showcasing their talent and work.
